In order to avoid confusion, make sure to check the RULES, especially if you are new to this fantasy game! Keep in mind that the Eurocup Fantasy Challenge is a long-term journey, not a quick dash. It’s not just a single match—it’s an extended, multi-round contest that spans several months. The big question for Eurocup Fantasy players: do you go for a squad that’ll grow in value over time, or stack your team with high-priced stars from the start ?

The following strategies will apply to our Eurocup picks:

1) As you build your team, prioritize strategies that boost your budget early on. The more your budget grows, the more options you’ll have later in the season. One key stat to watch: a player’s points per credit - it’s a smart way to spot high-value picks.

2) To keep your lineup adaptable each round, try dividing your squad into two groups (whenever the schedule allows it): 4–6 players for Turn 1 (T1) and the rest for Turn 2 (T2). Ensuring reliable alternatives in T2 in each of the 3 positions (guard, forward, center), this setup helps you manage any early-round disappointments. In T1, consider taking smart risks with lower-cost players, while saving your more consistent, dependable picks for T2. For the head coach, prioritize reliability over experimentation.

When it comes to selecting a player, their performance across different statistical categories will influence our decision. Our team focuses on key stats to evaluate player utility. Here are some of the important elements we consider:

  1. FPT Scoring Breakdown: We dive deeper into how players accumulate their fantasy points. For example, if two players score 15 FPTs, but one player achieves this mainly by scoring while the other does so through a balanced combination of scoring, rebounding, assists, fouls drawn, etc., we’ll choose the latter for their all-around contribution.

  2. Minutes Played vs. Credits: The ratio of minutes played to the credits averaged can give us an indication of how efficiently a player is performing relative to the time they’re on the court.

  3. Price vs. FPTs: The price-to-performance ratio shows us which players are undervalued based on their current production. We look for players who offer great value for their price.

To further facilitate your decisions, key stats may also be found on the official Eurocup Stats page and/or on the Stats tab on the Eurocup Fantasy Challenge Official page.

Lastly, we also take into concideration the below 2 aspects:

  1. Roster Changes: Whether player departures or key signings—can significantly shift team dynamics, affecting player roles, minutes, and overall performance. We track these developments closely to identify new opportunities and adjust our picks accordingly.

  2. Upcoming Matchups: Taking upcoming fixtures and matchups into account is key when choosing players. It helps minimize unnecessary transfers in the same positions and keeps our long-term strategy on track.
