     Round 11 was neither bad nor particularly good. Overall, our team performed satisfactorily: the new players proved to be good choices, but the selected coach ZOUROS was a major disappointment with a -20 point performance. The final outcome was 159.7 points and 2.4 credits gained. We will keep an optimistic perspective, as our budget increased significantly, giving us more flexibility for future rounds.

For Round 12, we will start by selecting a new coach. We chose Ty HARRELSON (4.9 CR), as Ulm is playing against Lietkabelis, the second weakest team in the Group. Ulm seems to be returning to strong performances after winning its recent domestic league games, so we hope for a 20-point return with a low investment.

Regarding our player roster, we will keep our centers unchanged. YEBO is expected to deliver around his season average (23.16 points), while MOCKEVICIUS could also provide a decent performance. Initially, we considered replacing FLYNN and capitalizing on his exceptional last performance and value increase. However, the game against Hamburg presents a good opportunity for a score close to 20 PIR, even with limited playing time under 25 minutes.

Instead, we decided to replace MARONKA and URBANIAK, as they do not offer anything particularly impactful in the Forward position. Additionally, MARONKA recorded a 12 PIR performance, and we believe this is the right moment to sell him at this value. We also decided to move on from GIBSON, despite his significant contribution to our team in previous rounds. His last two performances in both EuroCup and the domestic league were underwhelming, while internal competition within his team has increased. Perhaps he is currently out of form, and we want to avoid the risk of an underperformance against Aris in Thessaloniki.

Our focus was to add a quality Forward, as this position still appears to be our weakest. After evaluating several combinations, we selected an old friend: Both GACH (10.4 CR) from JL Bourg-en-Bresse. He has proven to be one of the key players for his team, especially in home games, where his performance level is consistently high. Against Panionios, the weakest team in this Group, he should have a strong opportunity to score well. Moreover, having both of our best Forwards in Turn 1 (GACH and KIRKWOOD) gives us maximum flexibility, as we can afford only one of them to perform at a high level.

The other two newcomers are Teo MILICIC (4.3 CR) and Carl WHEATLE (6.5 CR). Ideally, we hope to keep them on the bench while they achieve a small increase in value. MILICIC plays around 15 minutes per game and has a very low value, minimizing risk. WHEATLE faces Neptunas, a team that struggles defensively against Forwards. Additionally, PARKS did not feature for Venezia in the domestic league, which could result in increased playing time for WHEATLE. Our plan is to replace two mediocre Forwards (JAMES and WHEATLE) in the next Round with a higher-quality option who can support our team in the long run.

HARPER will be our captain for Turn 1. In Round 11, we were forced to switch to FLYNN, which proved extremely beneficial. This time, there is no strong alternative, but given HARPER’s consistency, it is highly unlikely that he will underperform in two consecutive Rounds.

Round 12 represents another step in our long-term strategy rather than a high-risk push.  With a stronger budget and clearer roster priorities, our decisions are becoming more refined. The objective remains steady scoring combined with gradual team improvement. If execution matches planning, another solid Round should follow.
