Round 17
Keeping the pressure up

Round 16 was not particularly spectacular for our team, as we collected 162.35 points and gained only 0.9 credits. However, this was still enough to help us reach our best position of the season in the global standings (299). Our Forward selections did not pay off, but at least we avoided losing significant value. THOMASSON and GIBSON both finished below 15 points, while our coach EDEN contributed just 10 points.
For Round 17, we need to address two key areas: the Forward positions and the coach selection. This Round features three Turns, with two games taking place in Turn 1. Although we were tempted to select LEDLUM, we ultimately decided not to invest in a Turn 1 player. The reason is that LEDLUM has not performed well in the last two Eurocup games, and Buducnost can be a tough opponent in this position. Similarly, Bahcesehir is a difficult matchup for players like KIRKWOOD, especially considering how many key contributors they have in their rotation.
Starting with the coach, we selected Marco BARAC (8.9 CR). Slask Wroclaw have not recorded a single road win this season, while Bahcesehir need a victory to secure one of the top two positions in their group. Despite a few surprising home defeats for the Turkish side, we strongly believe they will take this game.
For the Forwards, we decided to bring back players who have been reliable for us in the past and whom we trust, starting with Amine NOUA (11.4 CR). Neptunas are the weakest team in defending the Forward position, Aris are playing at home, and NOUA is now cheaper after his low 4-point performance in the previous Round. With the remaining budget, we selected Carl WHEATLE (8.4 CR) from Venice. He appears to be a key part of his team, playing around 30 minutes and contributing across multiple statistical categories. For his price, he seems like the best option to at least maintain value and support the overall performance of our squad.
We decided not to use the final trade, as we are satisfied with our roster. Even our low-budget players, such as RICH and RADOVIC, can still contribute and potentially increase their value slightly. Round 17 is all about stability and smart corrections. A strong coach score can immediately lift the overall outcome. If NOUA and WHEATLE deliver, the team can return to a high-scoring trajectory. With budget under control, we stay in a strong position for the next upgrades.
HARPER will be our captain for Turn 1, with GIBSON available to take over in Turn 2 if needed.
