Round 5
The comeback is on!

After a terrible start (97.65 points), our team has improved its score in every round, reaching an impressive 161.75 points in Round 4. Our budget is still limited, but we have managed to build a roster with players who can provide both fantasy points and future credit growth.
Our first decision this round is to change our coach. The Neptunas coach served his purpose in the last round, but this time we are switching to his opponent: Zvezdan Mitrović (7.4 CR) of Cedevita. Cedevita is in strong form, while Neptunas has shown the weakest defensive performance in the competition. We expect at least 20 points from the coach position.
We are removing WATERMANN, who has been consistent but underwhelming and does not contribute significantly to our team’s growth. We are also making two bold decisions by transferring out two of our most expensive players: FLYNN who is facing Manresa away, one of the best defensive teams in the league. And BANKSTON who is playing under 20 minutes per game, with his team having too many offensive options that limit his impact. Both risk delivering single-digit performances, so it’s time to move on.
The first player who will join our team is Dusan MILETIC (14 CR) who is undoubtedly the main Center of his team. He has 4 consecutive double-doubles in his last games. With Cluj Napoca facing one of the weakest interior defenses, Miletić is a must-have at this stage.
We targeted two players in the ideal price range for value increases:
Jakub NIZIOL (9.2 CR). Consistently playing over 25 minutes per game, Niziol is a reliable contributor. His team faces Venice in a crucial matchup, and he has surpassed 20 PIR multiple times this season. We expect another strong performance.
Umoja GIBSON (8.1 CR). A former member of our team, now returning. Gibson faces one of the weakest defenses in the league. He plays heavy minutes, takes offensive initiative (both scoring and assisting), and is due for a bounce-back after a quieter performance in the last round.
We also evaluated Paulius Danusevicius (8.9 CR), Hugo Benitez (9.0 CR), and Dogus Ozdemiroglu (8.9 CR). Ultimately, we decided against them due to their difficult matchups and other player-specific factors.
Our captain for Day 1 is HARPER. We have 4 players in the first turn and 6 in the second. While this distribution is not ideal, it still allows us the flexibility to react and cover any underperformance. Our strategy this round focuses on balancing reliable performance with budget growth potential. By targeting players in form with favorable matchups, we aim to keep our momentum going and further increase our fantasy budget.
