Round 2 – Following the Eternal city

Although Round 1 was mediocre, we should be relatively happy given how difficult Turn 1 was, ECHODAS underperformed, the Le Mans players fell short, and MILTON's 20+ performance was still below what his team's other Guards produced at a similar price. Turn 2 was better, though Lietkabelis relaxed late and missed the desired 20 point mark, while EVANS finished with just 4 PIR.

We collected 164.8 points and gained 1.6 credits, and we are currently sitting 2535th globally and 4th in the Real Hoopers Hub league, behind ENCAPUCHADOS (184.15 points). For Round 2, we're moving away from players on teams with too many scoring options and targeting players who impressed in Round 1 and remain undervalued, while continuing to look for coaches with favorable matchups at low cost.

We're moving on from ECHODAS, MILTON and EVANS (their teams have several capable scorers competing for the same offensive role) and changing the Lietkabelis coach. We keep Le Mans players PENDA and AJINCA, who we think can bounce back and recover value. The rest of the team outperformed expectations and rose in value, so there's no reason to move them after one Round. Our Round 2 coach is Alessandro MAGRO (6.6 CR) from Roma, who played strongly against Bahcesehir and, despite the defeat, were convincing throughout. They comfortably beat Tortona in the Italian league, while Lietkabelis struggled past Bosna and were heavily beaten by Zalgiris domestically. Two new players are Round 1's top performers: Javante MCCOY (11.1 CR) and Niccolo MANNION (13.3 CR). Both played 30+ minutes and look like their teams' main offensive leaders. MANNION kept his form in the weekend league game, while MCCOY played 37+ minutes, attempted 20 shots and drew 7 fouls, showing very high involvement.

At Center, we return to Roma with Marco SIMONOVIC (9.1 CR), who played close to 30 minutes and coped well against strong opponents like T. WILLIAMS and D. INGLIS. Roma's next matchup, at home against Balkan, should offer a good chance of a comfortable win and another strong fantasy performance. We have only 3 players in Turn 1, since at this stage budget growth matters more than points. We hope not to use the Le Mans players, and SIMONOVIC is the first substitution if needed. OSMAN is captain for Turn 1; if he scores below 20 PIR, we switch to MANNION. Round 2 is about reacting to what we learned from the opening games. We're taking a few calculated risks, but the focus stays on high-involvement players with room for value growth. If our new additions continue where they left off, we should increase both points and budget. Our team for this round looks like this:

🏆 Round 1 winner / League leader: ENCAPUCHADOS

👤 Manager: Giannis Gidaris

FPT: 184.15
