Round 6 – Searching for the breakthrough!

     Round 5 was another mediocre performance for our team. We collected 152.4 points and gained 0.9 credits. The highlight was our newcomer BURNHAM, who saved the day with an amazing performance of 29.7 PIR, doubled thanks to his captaincy. RATAJ also delivered a good performance, while Tortona eventually won a difficult game, earning us another 10 points. Interestingly, the expensive option we had considered for the coach position, SPANOULIS, also delivered exactly 10 points.

In the global ranking, we have climbed to 1,582nd place, while we remain 2nd in the Real Hoopers Hub league. For the second Round in a row, Mare Infinitum (179.45 points) was the Round winner and continues to lead the league.

For this Round, we will change our coach, hoping to finally get more than 10 points from this position. We will also cash in on RATAJ's increase in value, as he faces a difficult game and has been somewhat inconsistent. GORHAM will also leave the team after playing fewer than 20 minutes for the second consecutive game. Finally, we will replace SOLUADE in search of another cheap option who can help us increase our budget.

Although both our Centers play in Turn 2, we have decided to keep them, as we expect solid performances from both. PLAVSIC faces Lietkabelis and has been delivering performances around the 20-PIR mark so far. WAHL, meanwhile, continues to play almost the entire game (always more than 30 minutes) and is particularly efficient in home games. At the same time, OLYNYK faces PAOK away from home, so we thought it would be better to wait another Round before bringing him into the team. Finally, we decided to keep FRANKE in our roster hoping for a better performance that will recuperate the lost credits of his value.

For the coach position, we have selected Massimo CANCELLIERI (7.5 CR), as Tofas host Neptūnas. Tofas need this win to remain among the top teams in their group and have been solid at home. Neptūnas, on the other hand, have managed only one win so far this season and have a 0–2 record away from home.

As for the players, we have selected two bets that we hope will help us generate some extra credits in the coming weeks. First, Race THOMPSON (9.8 CR) is a strong rebounder, an area where Türk Telekom have repeatedly struggled. His last two EuroCup games were good, and he followed them up with a satisfactory performance in the domestic league. Moreover, Skyliners Frankfurt play in Turn 3 in Round 7, which could give us greater flexibility when managing our roster. Tyger CAMPBELL (8.5 CR) will be our second option. He is clearly undervalued, playing more than 20 minutes per game. In his latest domestic league appearance, he was a starter and his team's best player, recording a PIR below 20 – a figure similar to his latest EuroCup performance. Finally, we have selected Meissa FAYE (4 CR) as a no-risk option.

Our roster is balanced between the two Turns. MANNION will be our captain for Turn 1, with SMART as our alternative for Turn 2 if needed.

In Round 6, we are cashing in on players whose value has increased, moving on from inconsistent options and investing in affordable players with room to grow. THOMPSON and CAMPBELL are our bets for the coming weeks, while CANCELLIERI gives us another chance to improve our coach score. Let's hope these moves bring us more points, more credits and, above all, a step closer to the top of the league!
